Method for Distinguishing Positive and Negative Capacitance on PCB Board

The usual circuit board is marked with +- signs on or near the two pads of the capacitor. The actual color of the circuit board is white, that is, the pin on the side with the white face is negative.

 

The names of the circuit boards are ceramic circuit boards, alumina ceramic circuit boards, aluminum nitride ceramic circuit boards, circuit boards, PCB boards, aluminum substrates, high-frequency boards, thick copper boards, impedance boards, PCBs, ultra-thin circuit boards, printed (copper etching technology) circuit boards, etc.

 

Circuit Board Classification:

 

A. Classification according to the number of circuit layers:

 

  1. Single layer board

On the most basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side, and the wires are concentrated on the other side. Because the wires only appear on one side, this kind of PCB is called a single panel.

 

  1. Double panel

This kind of circuit board has wiring on both sides, but to use wires on both sides, there must be a proper circuit connection between the two sides.

 

  1. Multilayer board

(1) In order to increase the area that can be wired, multi-layer boards use more single or double-sided wiring boards. Use one double-layer as the inner layer, two single-layer as the outer layer or two double-layer as the inner layer and two single-layer as the outer layer of the printed circuit board. The positioning system and the insulating bonding material alternately together and the conductive pattern printed circuit boards that are interconnected according to design requirements become four-layer and six-layer printed circuit boards, also known as multilayer printed circuit boards.

 

(2) The number of layers of the board means that there are several independent wiring layers. Usually, the number of layers is even and includes the two outermost layers. Most motherboards have 4 to 8 layers structure.

 

 

B. Classification according to soft and hard:

Divided into ordinary circuit boards and flexible PCB.

 

Usually the circuit board is marked with +- signs on or near the two pads of the capacitor, that is, the positive and negative signs. It is customary that the square pad is the first pin, but it is not sure that it is the positive electrode, and the actual circuit board color of the electrolytic capacitors on more circuit boards is white, that is, the pin on the side with the white face is the negative electrode. .

 

Square negative pole, round positive pole, can also refer to the polarity of other capacitors on the same circuit board.

 

The circle point is positive! The square or big piece is negative!
